Stand up comedy
Badar Tareen is a civil rights lawyer by day and an award-winning stand-up comedian by night. Badar’s comedy can be described as analytical, energetic, and unique, hitting many different audiences given Badar’s day job and background as a Pakistani Muslim who grew up in a small town in North Dakota. He has frequently opened for Zarna Garg and other comedians like Akaash Singh, Tony Woods, and Marcello Hernandez.

Badar has been selected to performed at over a dozen comedy festivals such as the Dubai Comedy Festival and performed at clubs throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He currently runs BrownTown Comedy, the largest South Asian comedy show in the DC area—every show sells out. Based in Virginia with his wife, a doctor at Johns Hopkins, and their spirited son, Badar continues to captivate audiences with his sharp wit and engaging presence.
